I have a few points:
1) If this movie is meant to empower little girls and women it’s more of the opposite and an insult to them, when you really look beyond the surface level theatrics. The main character is basically going through the movie/game on a handicap. It a not so obvious of a message but the movie is messaging that if you are a little girl or woman, things need to be easier for you in order for you to succeed. Because the power balancing is way off.
2) I would do up to two stars because the main character actually had good fighting skills and the fighting scenes were not terrible.
3) If the 3 main actors were swapped out with unknown actors, you would see all the flaws in this cheaply made movie. The two secondary main actors are just in there to add relevancy to the movie, in my opinion.
4) Realism: She broke her thumb on her right hand (she is right handed), but she spends a whole day gripping heavy objects/sword and fighting right handed. I understand fighting through pain, but pain + swelling would affect grip and dexterity and you would not be able to wield a sword so successful, especially when blocking, due to the weight and force of the attacking weapon.
5) She defeats a whole army in the tower including boss level soldiers; She falls 200 feet out of the tower into deep waters to the floor of the sea, recovers under the sea - cuts her ropes under the sea and swims to the top, and gasps for air just like she did in the previous scene where she was in the bath tub, except this time she fell a whole 200 feet tied up and had to expend energy on the rope and the swim.
6) She only received hand to hand combat training yet she successfully sneaks around like an experienced thief/ninja/assassin unseen. Movies do not have to be realistic but add some context for the assassin skills
7) She received hand to hand combat training, but she never received killing or slaughtering training and in the movie she does not show emotion associated with killing/gory slaughtering for the first time etc, and she is very comfortable from the very start with killing. There is no character development at all that shows how she got there. She just goes from 0 to 60 and the movie ends. Very shameful movie design. Anyone who gives this movie over 3 stars is avoiding the reality/truth.
