In a word: Masterpiece. Lives up to the fifty plus perfect scores. Upon finishing it I was left feeling so many things; all of which were most welcome. Having pre-ordered the game I was a bit salty at first because of certain technical issues, but thankfully the patch update significantly improved these and I was able to greatly enjoy the overall experience. I thought the ending was handled very well. It was artistically moving and mysterious to good effect. Granted I've never played the original all the way through so can't comment from that stand point but I was genuinely moved by this new ending and have gone back to compare with footage of the original. I'm sure the original was a big deal back in the day but what they managed to do with this new direction is quite grand. Also have to mention Queens Blood which alone makes this a noteworthy title. Once that aspect of the game was realized I was hooked and had so much fun with that in addition to all the other fun side quests and minigames. All in all such a fantastic game to follow Remake. I'm a huge fan of both and can't wait for the next offering; thankfully there's enough content here to enjoy again and again!

Tears that bring so much joy! After playing this game nearly consistently for 2 months straight, it can be said on a personal level that no other game has held such a dramatic hold on my attention span; including botw. Having now beaten the main quests (there's still so much more to accomplish) I've started a new game file altogether just to re-live the entire experience and to approach aspects differently. This game is truly on another level, both creatively and in terms of scope and grandness; it's addictive gameplay at its best! Graphically it's a bit dated when compared to photo realistic graphics however it still stands as a stunning piece of artwork with superb detail and artistic wizardry! I would love to see a Zelda in the future with updated graphics but that said this will still hold a special place in its own right. After completing the main story I was left stunned and speechless; Bravo Nintendo, Bravo indeed. Certainly it deserves game of the year! 10/10 masterpiece

I am now on my second time through this game, specifically the Royal Edition, and I've grown to love and appreciate this masterpiece more than ever! Truly the brotherhood and fellowship portrayed in this story is endearingly special. I do not think this ff game or story deserves the criticism it's received by and large; there's so much to enjoy here for any Final Fantasy fan and it only gets better with multiple playthroughs. The characters alone make it worthwhile and I've also played the pocket edition just because I couldn't get enough and didn't want it to end. This is right up there with ff7 remake and ffx, which are my personal favorites. It hits on all fronts!

This game is fantastic and I really enjoyed the overall experience. Aside from the obvious Zelda inspiration it also reminded me of several other great titles but has enough uniqueness to stand on its own. And it also draws inspiration from Arthurian tales effectively. Graphically it's like botw and Mario Odyssey had a baby and I truly enjoyed playing it from the start. It's only about 20 hours to beat but I doubled that by taking on the challenges and side quests it offers. It's just a gem of a game and a lot of fun all in all!
