3 stars only because this story SHOULD BE TOLD! The amount of gross errors, negligence and willful malicious intent is nothing short of a disgrace that resulted in 900 men being stranded at sea for nearly 5 days. Then, the captain being used as a scape goat after surviving the most horrific ordeal I can imagine made me sick. For him to commit suicide at 70 years old & only after death get exonerated is another tragedy all in itself. With that said, a much bigger budget that could afford better special effects should have been given to this movie out of sheer respect. It’s a C movie at best for when it was released. I hope they remake it & give it the Justice and respect it deserves.
