Traci Michele – Google

This is one of my all-time favorite albums! I saw them when they opened for R.E.M. at Robinson Auditorium in Little Rock, circa 1986. Hope was a dynamic, awesome performer and incredible singer. I spent New Year's Eve in N. Carolina and saw them before I left for Britain. Again, an incredible performance. I prefer this album to Galaxy 500, which is also great. If you can find a copy (I still have my original album, LOL), get it! I don't think you'll regret it!!

This is absolutely my favorite U2 album. While other early U2 albums sound dated to me and haven't withstood the test of time, Daniel Lanois and Brian Eno's production sounds as fresh in 2019 as it did in 1984. "Bad" is one of my all-time favorite songs and evokes an emotional response from me, still. Others of my generation may like "The Joshua Tree" more, but U2 reached their peak for me with "The Unforgettable Fire." If you must have an early / 1980s U2 album in your collection, this is the one.
