Brilliant brilliant show. This is my favourite show I think that I have ever watched which is very promising and season 3 guys, I can't wait much longer I gotta be honest.
The plotline - Season 1, I instantly got really invested into the plot and all these twists and drama made me really excited to see what was gonna come next and I remember I started watching it quite late at night so when I finished episode one I was like ahh I have to go to sleep now I wanna keep on watching! For someone that has a very low attention span this show really fit that hole that I think some other shows are missing and makes me feel really connected with the show. For season 2 I got that vibe, but like a million times more. Idk if that made sense I'm tired. I think season 2 was for sure the season where I was like oh wow this show is so so so sick. I literally got so much goosebumps from the emotional scenes and plot twists and I think I started to get more interested on each character this season as we begin to learn more about their personality.
The characters - Oooh the character are sosooso well written. Each of the characters really have their own personality and I don't think any of the characters in the show are too much like another character or something like that all of them have so much personality. So like no matter how horrible a character may be, they are still brilliantly well written and have such an interesting and comedic personality. However, Luther is a character I think the viewers are supposed to like, I have so much dislike for this characters actions and bratty personality. Idk if that was their intention but I just really don't like Luther. KLAUS HOWEVER I dressed up as him for Halloween and no one knew who I was but did I care? A little bit because of my social anxiety but lets just say no to make this review nicer. Btw, Why is the monkey called.. POGO? Like out of all the names to call this like wise, old, father figure monkey they called with POGO. Like I laughed so hard and also when he died and he lifted up his hands and he looked like Jesus on the cross don't get me started.
cinematography - One of my favourite things about the show was the intertitle that shows up at the start of each episode. Especially in season 2, I think I remember one where there were birds doing the umbrella symbol, full goose bump moment. Along with that and the smooth camera work it makes it feel like there's no sort of editing going on which is soooo awesome and creative. I also love love loved the 1960s aesthetic that was going on throughout season 2, like I know that they were in that timeline but I thought it looked so cool and realistic to that time but also still fit with its aesthetic. I also liked the dark kinda rainy look in season 1. I think it always looked quite blue and dark in season one which was quite a big change to season 2. I think thats cool because the vibe kinda changed with the time.
I 100% would recommend this show to people. I'm not a massive fan on these kinda superhero, supernatural movies in general because I always feel like they do it wrong and don't include enough real moments and its all just action the entire time and I'm not a massive fan on those kinda scenes. Those scenes were in the show, but they didn't make the fight scenes to busy you could always see what each character was doing in the fight without making the scene too long. I also really love the different representation in the show I thought that was sick, we love seeing that. And yea, overall 10/10 show. I'm pumped to see season 3 and hopefully that will blow me away as much as season 2 did.
