What a dated read. I'm listening it on audible, and I appreciate the author is now 80, but really! Needs to look around her or get a different editor. Who, young enough to have a 3 year child, still eats casseroles and stews. The number for the Chinese takeaway was in a book by the phone. One detective's house was described as so dated and unloved and mainly filled with GPlan furniture. What.... its the most valuable furniture available for designers. I thought it was an old book but this is after the pandemic. It's put me off bothering to carry on. Lazy writing. Try a good Susan Hill instead.
