I personally enjoyed all seasons of True Detective. Obviously Season One is superior. Season Two was convoluted with too many characters? Maybe? But Colin Farrell was amazing. Season Three was excellent for the acting alone. Season Four is thrilling and mysterious so far. Love the female leads. I just have always admired Jodie Foster and her work. I’m invested in this season and looking forward for more.

Since I thoroughly enjoyed the previous Netflix Series Dark, I expected the same level of suspense and dread. Well I highly recommend this show 1899 to those who appreciate subtle buildup with tense, anticipation of well executed mystery. Those individuals will not be disappointed.
