This is the drama that made me broke my 1+ year-long hiatus from the k-dramas.
First impression that some people might get: This is a drama that preaches about life. Basically 'finding' our true selves.
Let me tell you, it's is so many things but that! It is not a life-lesson coaching drama or one that has too many unreal expectations of 'perfect life'. (and even if it was, it doesn't have to be a bad thing. Some things work for you, some don't. simple)
Let me what you what I've grasped so far:
I'm 6 episodes in and all I want to say is how simple yet beautiful it is! It has a unique rawness (in a good way!) which makes you want to come back for more.
The characters are marvellous. That is some A-class acting by every single one of them!
The theme may seem so common: What are we doing with our lives? What are we supposed to do? What are we doing wrong? Why are we doing it so?
These mundane questions are presented in such a clever, desirable way!
THE MONOLOGUE!!! It is in its truest form and most of the times, relatable. In a vague way but I guess the poetic effect heightens the impact.
All in all, it's an underrated drama which deserves a chance.
Will update when I'll complete the drama, for now, it's a solid 5/5 for me.
