Weak. - Unfortunately.
Opening first 10 minutes felt [ and looked ] very cheap. Horrible opening to the brand of Halloween.
Too glossy, too shiny, too 'pretty', lacking weight and grit - This Halloween is yet again a significant let-down.
Directors simply don't have the capability of having the proper vision & talent to get this right ..
Comically - The director felt it appropriate to insert a scene where Michael Myers suddenly becomes Chuck Norris and defeats multiple firemen holding axes - yet a middle-aged, mother who drives a mini-van can approach Michael alone - and beat him up?
Seriously ?

Tomb Raider -ish vibes with Casper the friendly ghost levels of 'scariness'.
Not sure what the developer was thinking with this.
