Excellent!! Watched it 4 times, could watch again and again as it’s thoroughly entertaining. Best thing Danny Boyle has done in a long time and the cinematography, production design (the wonderful Kave Quinn), editing and casting were perfect. Stand out performances go to Rotten and McLaren. Viv, Chrissy, Sid and Steve were also excellent with a strong supporting cast in the various roles they played in each story (track). Great choice to have a teenager play a convincing Sid as well (god bless) - ‘Sid and Nancy’ (the movie) was awful. I’m a big Pistols and Steve Jones fan and the story/screenplay was impressive, the attention to detail was perfect and the use of cgi and visual effects made it feel real. Can’t fault this series at all, it wouldn’t have worked as a movie and although slightly rushed at times I’m glad it was spread out over 6 hours. As a dramatisation it works perfectly, don’t understand the negativity it’s had so far by certain people - Lydon should watch this as his on-screen character is so well done it’s anything but embarrassing. It has everything going for it and it works due to the writing and direction. Well done to everybody involved in this production!
