On a positive note, the energy level /pace of narrative is relentless. The whole book seems to have been written with foot down. On the other foot, there’s only so much unmitigated misery a person can stand. What ever happened to putting a dark colour next to a lighter tone and vice versa. There’s a great story or two in amongst it all but this is just too long. Shame.
