The simple fact that so many people are saying, "This is the WORST movie I have ever seen," and "I've never written a film review before but I am now to warn people to stay away!" and, my favorite, "I not only HATED the film, but came to dislike the audience as well!" made me realize I absolutely HAD to see this film. Yes, it's a challenging cinematic experience and it definitely gets into you (if you let it.) It's really the best depiction of an extended nightmare I have ever seen, with classic anxiety-producing events from things as common as the bathtub overflowing and losing your house keys to being chased through the woods by a maniac. Overall, the film is better in its parts than it is in its totality. I can't imagine how they could have ended the film in more satisfactory way, but the ride to get there was so engaging and imaginative that I didn't care that much. An absolute must-see for cinephiles. If you're looking for a follow-that-car or paint-by-number film, this is not the one for you.
