It was painful to watch. The father’s narcissism and bullying is awful. Setting someone up for failure for his own benefit, using his position of power to intimidate colleagues, what are the writers thinking? It’s 2022 not 1950! I watched the third episode to hopefully see some growth but when the storyline of the chairman blaming his son’s potential relationship implications on her, even when he was the pursuer, coupled with the audacity of the “learned lesson” focus of the episode, I’ve abandoned it. Seeing these storylines (she’s going to play dirty versus standing up for her position when he undercuts her? He would have been fired by now!) just shows these old school mentalities are alive and well and the writers have a pretty poor view of women in the workplace. Terrible writing.
