I'm not sure who thought this could be considered a comedy, but they are way off. There's little to no humor in this. I made it through episode 2 before turning it off. It's a slow burn drama with serious b-flick vibes. I'd expected more from something with Emma Stone (the main reason I wanted to watch it). The previews portray it to be something that it is not. If you want something to put you to sleep or just need background noise, this would do the job.
No amount of "homework" (as other reviewers state we need) will make this show any better. It literally seems to go nowhere. If it's only trying to point out racial inequalities, it's doing a horrific job in doing so with so many ridiculously stereotypical situations.
Eerie, paranoid, and hilarious (three words used to describe this movie) couldn't be further from the truth. There's nothing eerie, paranoid, or hilarious about this. But please, don't take my word for it.. watch it yourself. Just know that disappointment and boredom will certainly follow.
