Tsunami of tears. Genuinely moved by this film. Holding it back is honestly the colour grading. I found it dated and distracting. I definitely got lost in the film. It's not overtly full or gore and bodies but the devastation is still evident. I am disappointed by the lack of racial sensitivity, it's unnecessarily white casting of it's lead roles is not authentic the the family it's about and the local Thais are practically invisible throughout the film, nameless helpers, bodies, and background. It's sad to see their stories and trauma buried for the sake of selling this story to a western/white audience.
