This is the series I have been looking for! I’m incredibly picky about choosing books. I was looking for something with multiple characters, view points and world building similar to Game of Thrones and this book checked the boxes for me. Miro builds up suspense and then switches views points or goes to a flashback and you just. can’t. stop. reading. There are so many possibilities of where the story can go and I love all the stories from the past you learn throughout it. The characters are all unique and even the “bad” ones are likable in a way, which really keeps me guessing where all this will go! Looking forward to book 2 and 3!

If you’ve ever read Game of Thrones or Mists of Avalon, you’ll be very disappointed. I was hoping for some interesting fae characters, maybe even some of the love-to-hate kind (those are the best), and world building. Unfortunately, I just straight up hated the main character - she is incredibly dumb and wishy washy. She ruined it for me. The other characters, who seemed to have potential, didn’t get enough attention. Maybe it was due to the whole story being from Feyre’s point of view. Either way, I do not recommend this series.
