Don't usally watch Indian films but it was a rainy day and confined indoors by Covid 19.
Pari is a remarkable film. Totally not what I was expecting. The style was western but better. The acting brilliant. Only criticism, a shade too long.
The film twists and turns, playing with your mind and emotions as all great films do.
The storyline is definitely Indian. There are many such stories told from one generation to another. Perhaps, Hollywood is missing a trick here in not utilising these stories.
The film is presented as a horror film but it also touches on the abuse of women. Which is often discharged by men, men in power. Perhaps, the film should have focused on this a little more.
In the end, it is not just a horror film but also beautiful film that makes us question what is right and wrong and the fine line that separates the two.
