The Shetlands mysteries are consistently constructed on very detailed and extremely well-constructed plots, They WILL have you on the edge of your chair and debating clues/developments with your friends. No trite or predictable dialogue--and after a few episodes, you'll likely become part of that remote and fascinating part of the world. The camera work is superb, and the scenery is breathtaking. A consistently great cast in each series-- . The BBC consistently offers absolutely TOP-SHELF drama--for decades now. Thankfully we can see the shows via PBS. I sure hope BBC continues the series!!!

This finale of the Baptiste series provides an interesting & gripping plot , great acting but a ridiculous ending in the final installment, characters surviving fatal assaults - just walking away - to a Disney-esque fairy-tale "everyone lived happily ever after" conclusion for Baptiste. Previous Baptiste series were much more compelling.
