Kaappaan, the movie makes a mockery of the audience's intelligence. I can tolerate some suspension of belief for the sake of cinematic liberties to a certain level. However, Kaappaan goes way beyond cinematic liberties into the realm of outlandish rubbish. Consider this :-
a) The PM of India talks in Tamil with Pakistani diplomat
b) An SPG officer (Samuthirakani) makes a mockery of No Means No movement, which shows the stupidity of the director.
c) Top level SPG officers behaving like your average Indian neighbor unkills.
Kaappaan basically crammed all the trendy topics (farmers plight, nationalism, jingoism) into one mess of a movie. The makers of this garbage movie expects the audience to mindlessly lap up the nationalistic pandering. It's time for Tamil cinema audience to reject such slipshod products and teach the film makers a lesson.
