I had a hard time getting past the fact that whole show is a public flogging of Kevin James. Their exaggerated criticism of his King of Queens and Kevin Can Wait characters borders on beating a dead horse. it shows in their sitcom segments which leave nothing to be liked about the Kevin character or anyone friendly towards him. The other problem is they leave little to be liked about the Allison character who literally has no reason to stay with him but complains behind his back constantly, cheats on him, and plots his murder. The acting hits which makes it watchable, the writing just leaves a lot of potential on the table in regards to making sense of the story. Maybe making Kevin a little less annoying and adding some relationship depth would help make sense of things.

Reminds me of They/Them, the Kevin Bacon supposed slasher movie. These writers are so eager to be celebrated as SJW's that they forget to include character and plot development. Regina Hall's phenomonal talent is wasted carrying this film. The horror aspect drowns in the messaging and halfway through you give up trying to like the protagonists. The end result of all these Jordan Peele inspired race baiting films is wasted potential.

Think Jordan Peele but instead of pandering race with horror, its gender/sexuality and much less horror. Kevin Bacon seems to reprise his role from White Water Summer, and he is still great at being the bully but that is where the potential dies. Aside from that the plot was slow and predictable, the characters didnt seem particularly genuine or interesting, and the slasher element of the film felt brief and forced. It reminds me of Mulhollland Drive in that it appears to be a made for tv series drama that they scrapped, edited out a lot of scenes that would have provided context, replaced them with some cringe same sex scenes, threw a killer in the mix, then released it as a rated R film. Hard to sit through, the dialog is physically painful at times but its such a trainwreck of a story that you might be curious to just see how they end it.

Throw this one to the LGBT community, its far too inappropriate for 96% of us. I could fast forward through the gay elements in season 1 but the first episode of season 2 proved to me that the producers are more interested in making a teenage gay love story first, with a secondary focus on Chucky and horror.

Seems like Justified is trying to check the woke boxes that were absent from the main series. Its not as blatant as the writing in last season of Shameless, but its definitely agenda ridden. You get the sense that Raylan is being punished for the small town southern charm of the original. Like someone else pointed out, this manages to be racist and woke at the same time.

The main character reminds me Lip from Shameless, but its not a deal breaker. There are thinly spread story arcs but ultimately the show finds its direction by the season one finale. It is enjoyable and hits home on complicated personalities through good times and bad. Regarding any concerns of wokeness, people can be overly sesitive these days and see things that arent there. I didnt see any sign of checked boxes or forced agenda through season one.
