Judith Prenzlow

Despite apparently poor reviews, this was a wonderfully creepy slow burn that really engages with its characters, a quality which gives the movie a lot of heart. Not a horror movie in the typical sense, and it strays from the traditional story arc, but it's impactful and really well-done. I think this is one of those stories that will linger. I'm intrigued to check out the source material. Would recommend!

Really just okay. A lot of gratuitous (and predictable) emotional dialogues and just okay scary stories. Many cringe moments in this one. In a society that struggles to discuss death, at least this show did that. I was ready to get into the supernatural cult-y stuff. Maybe the second season would have been more interesting. Overall pretty disappointing.
