I liked this series tremendously as it taught me a lot about the history of Scotland and its people and clans. Also, the actors are wonderful and so is the way the period is perfectly restored and depicted!

It is a truly American story in that it reveals the true America behind the fake America reflected in lesser movies...This movie seems to be about true lives of true people whose American dream has never really come true and yet they do fully live their own unfulfilled one...
