I think this movie is amazing. It is visually stunning and the characters are so lovable and fleshed out. It was very culturally accurate and I really appreciate that. I know that a lot of people are upset that it ended the way that it ended but I like that they split it into two parts because they probably would’ve had to cut out a bunch of the world building if they put it all in one movie. There have also been a lot of white people upset that majority of the characters are people of color. But this is a movie that takes place across the Multiverse. It makes logical sense that majority of the people there would be people of color than the majority being white. Considering that POC is literally everything except fully white, it just makes sense. I think that all the people were complaining about the diversity amongst the cast of characters are just now for the first time experiencing what POC have had to experience our whole life. Except that for us it was always a majority white cast with a poc side character that was usually comedic relief and a poor stereotype. Let’s not forget that in this movie Gwen who is a white woman had like at least 50% of the movie dedicated to her. People are just mad because they want to be. The movie is wonderful. The plot is wonderful. I can’t wait for the second one. And yes the culture and diverse cast is also wonderful and doesn’t feel “try hard” like all these immature people want to suggest. No matter who you are you will probably enjoy this movie I heavily recommend it. My favorite Spider-Man is Miles Morales and I’m so glad we got more of him and his family. I loved all the characters even the antagonist and “bad guys” it’s all over just a great group of characters. I know I’m getting repetitive but go watch it. :)
