I was eager to watch this movie. Rohana Wijeweera's rebellious character and Kamal Addararachchi's acting together was giving me a lot of high hopes about the movie. However, after watching the movie, I lost all my positive thoughts I had about this person and also felt I wasted time on this.
Wijeweera, as I have heard is an educated man who knew how to attract/convince, specially the youth of that era. He has been active, rebellious, arrogant etc;. But in the movie, he was rather a pale character, a coward who kept changing houses and producing children. No character displayed any emotions.
What about him being questioned? his statement a few hours before he died? His death?
Sadly, Kamal being a very talented actor, is not used properly in this film. None of the characters portrayed any emotions. A movie, I believe should be a lineup of many emotions and the audience should feel being a part of it, which in this case is far apart.
