Just finished watching the new Mortal Kombat. I give it 5.5/10. I didn’t see any origin stories except for Scorpion. They rushed EVERYTHING about this movie which wasn’t worth it. Rather than a standalone movie, that should’ve done a trilogy with all the main characters’ origin story. Keeping it rated R was well worth it since Mortal Kombat isn’t the same without blood and violence. It really felt like the entire movie was about Subzero vs. Scorpion; maybe they can do a better job in the next installment.

Up until the finale, I had thought the series was well written, and all the characters were very well projected. I figured from the getgo that one of the characters was being shady. The finale was horrible! They could have made it 100 times better. I love this show, but because of the ending, I gave it only three stars. I will watch the forthcoming seasons; however, I strongly hope they make it better.
