I think the dad is a glorified storyteller. The whole time he's talking, his eyes are popped out, as if thinking he will captivate his audience with that and, the wishy washy distasteful lies that he tells.
For one, the full pubic hair at 6, the menstrual cycle at 6. They can happen. But when he said that she was wiping feces on the 6 yo boy, and tormenting her older brothers. If that can be forgiven, screw the knives under her bed, holding one over the parents as they slept, as well as the other distasteful trespasses that shes been accused of. He says they vowed to love her and would do anything to help her. They take her to a therapist who basically told them to get her out of their house. So they finally dumped her in an institution for very sick people, and, to boot, put her in the adults section, once they realize that she had a full head of pubic hair.
If anyone has seen the children of Chernobyl or orphanages in Chernobyl, would know that some of them could be very horrific places. Some seriously loved their wards and made sure that their lives were as comfortable as they can make them. And some were only in it for the money, and abused their wards.
Just last notation. There were so many inconsistencies in this documentary, if you could call it that, that Netflix should be very ashamed of themselves for even condescending to show this.
But, it gets better! Watch Dr Phil with Natalia and her new parents. I won't give spoilers to that but it makes a whole lot more sense.
