I'm fond of found footage horror movies, but the writing on this one left a lot to be desired. We didn't get much backstory on the main characters, and the spooky big reveal was...meh. My house makes those noises every night and I know it's not haunted, so suspending disbelief was a challenge. The scares they did incorporate were so obviously set up, I called them right away. Sadly though, the frightening and chaotic climax I envisioned, and any semblance of a backstory for the entity, didn't materialize (pardon the pun). It was okay, but not something I'll think about again except to imagine how much better it could've been.
