The great Ridley Scott’s worst film. Very disappointing and a waste of Joachin Phoenix’s talents. Napoleon was such a controversial leader- a true megalomaniac in a time of European geo political conflict, imperial drama & historical significance and this film depicts him as a boring, lifeless personality. No proper depth or meaning or analysis into the “why” of what Napoleon did. Forget seeing it on the big screen. Wait for streaming and it’s a perfect cure for insomnia.
