I just re-watched this movie,there is more to this than initially meets the eye.. Liza and Robert both dig deep here to bring out some deep complex character portrayals in this onscreen relationship. This really resonates more in todays society..Today of course we can recognise with Jimmy Doyles character that he has ADHD,Conduct Disorder,FASD or some other Neurodiverse disability... But they have only been recently acknowledged in Society..So he was an "Angry Man" at times .."A control Freak" at best.. The close up camera work is excellent, it really enhances the unspoken emotions. We don't have the characters back stories so can only imagine..... I think the ending was realistic...
