"Shaft" is a breath of fresh air in a time of over complicated films with too much CGI. It is pure old school action and comedy rolled together with a legitimate plot, the cast work well together and SJ puts in a great performance- relentlessly dropping one liners and quick comebacks along with Jesse T Usher. "Shaft" likely won't please the politically correct mob, but for anyone who wants to enjoy a movie that doesn't take itself too seriously, leave a huge plot opening or cliffhanger, set a couple of hours aside and enjoy this bad mother of a film!

What a disappointment! I've seen more chemistry in a history lesson than throughout the cast of Murder Mystery. Whilst Jennifer Aniston pulls off a mediocre performance- Adam Sandler manages to portray one of the most irritating cinematic characters since Jar Jar Binks. Tacky tacky tacky. I can only assume the yacht used up so much of the budget that the cast had to reluctantly work for minimum wage, which would also explain why an ageing Ferrari Testarossa was left to try to captivate the audience in the dated chase scene remnissent of an 80's Bond film. Murder Mystery is stuck somewhere between a spoof, a mystery and a chick flick yet fails to tick any of the boxes. If you do have 1 hour and 37 minutes to kill, I'd suggest trying anything with an actual genre, or to be safe- two episodes of Suits and a cup of tea instead.
