This show is electrifying. The cast chemistry sizzles. The writing and dialogue are absorbing, snappy, witty, & thrilling. The women are smart, tough and give nary a fck. The men are greasy, grimey & gorgeous in that way only a Texans can pull off. This show is the GOLD STANDARD and the one every other show should aspire to in every way.

This film seemed promising because it was presented as being the opposite of previous serial killer films that centered the murderer. As a survivor of SA I was repulsed that the film opens with a genuinely sickening recreation of the murder of Christine Ruth Thornton. The Dating Game appearance is secondary to the other abhorrent murders that are reenacted in this hollow & vapid film that panders to the lowest common denominator & does NOTHING for the victims except exploit them.

I WANT to like this show. There is electrifying cast chemistry here. But the scenes with snappy dialogue are muffled by some of the maudlin, melodramatic scenes that are overacted. There is too much reliance on meanness. Conflict is fine when it is balanced with other more uplifting elements. The real stars are Tamberla Perry &Ashleigh LaThrop The exude authenticity and compassion. They are why I will stick with this show Brilliant Minds is offensive to swimmers. The scenes in the Hudson are distracting. Did this guy take swim lessons from a helicopter? Your arms are not blades babe. You gotta glide. GLIDE The breathy verbose soliloquies come across as disingenuous. Fix that PLEASE The face blindness trope is going to get old fast.
