This movie is my all time favorite because of the character growth and emersion into the time period. Mr. Dracy and Elizabeth are such a picture of a healthy romantic relationship because they didn't jump into it, but grew to love one another. They battled misunderstandings and society's class boundaries and pressure from their families to marry other people. Mr. Darcy saw his arrogance after being scolded by Elizabeth and made a change to better himself rather than force Elizabeth to marry him as soon as his feelings are revealed. And Elizabeth realizes her stubbornness towards Mr. Darcy was completely mislead because of the information she was getting, but after some gossiping she learned the truth. This story is all about pride, love, prejudices, friendship, heartache, and growth which is exactly what I need when life gives me lemons.

This is one of my favorite films. It portrays the journey of a woman who wanted more after Olympic career was over. It shows the twists and turns of her life and how she built herself up and torn it back down. It has suspense, wonder, a little comedic relief, and relatability to the main character Molly and her attorney. Molly's relatability comes from her childhood background and her personality. Honestly, I've watched this film at least 3 times now and it is one of the most enjoyable movies I've watched in a while.

I love this movie. It is one of my favorite apocalypse type films because it has a little sense of realism. Dylan O'Brien plays his part perfectly because his character was a teenager when the world went downhill and now at the start of the movie he's an adult with zero knowledge of how to survive in his new environment. His character grows exponentially during the film and other characters are seen giving him advice and guidance so that he has the best chance possible. The most refreshing part of the film is the advice he receives about Aimee (his love interest) because he starts his journey of growth for her, but the people around him tell him something like 'if she's not what you expected, don't settle.' This piece of advice was so important for me because many people in my life have just settled for a partner, instead of continuing the search because they don't want to be the only one left alone. This film also has a refreshing breath of comedy and suspense that always you to connect with the main character (Joel) and the other characters as well. The comedy allows them to be relatable and free despite the world setting they are in.

This movie was very hard for me to enjoy. Although I loved the settings, outfits, and makeup, the likeability of the main character (Emma) was very hard. Emma's character to me is that of someone who doesn't know how to fit in without the dismay of others. She is overall very naive and snobbish because of her upbringing, and also because of the attention she receives from the society around her. It also takes Emma the whole movie to realize her true emotions and personality, despite the kind image others see. The most redeemable quality of the film is the male lead who understands Emma to a degree, and is willing to love her despite the flaws and childish behavior she displays. The movies pacing is also quite slow which doesn't help in regards to learning the other characters and their dynamics in the film. A lot of the time during the film I had to look up the character and their relation to Emma and the world setting.

This movie was a love/hate thing for me. I enjoyed most of it but there were undeniably cringey parts and slow moments that made me question it's likeability. This movie was similar and very different from the beloved pride and prejudice but I don't think it deserves that much backlash. Although the slow building of plot and characters is not for everyone, I do think the movie can be enjoyed and cherished for the message it gives and for the actors/actresses hardwork. Considering Netflix produces millions of movies and series (to which most I find extremely hard to watch), I believe they did a decent job of fitting in the story that Jane Austen portrayed. *Light spoilers (but my options about the plot)* The hardest point in the movie though was trying to figure out Mr. Wentworth and his emotions towards Anne. Considering the ending, it was hard to truly understand what his intentions were with coming back from sea and how he misleads other characters for his own personal gain. I understood that both him and Anne were undeniably attracted to one another but why play the game if not to be honest. This was the most frustrating part of the movie because they both have an understanding of their feelings for one another but fail to convey it properly until one of them buckles and just admits it.
