Irredeemably dark and hopeless. If you like feeling bad about existence on this planet--as though the local and national news did not regularly help you to that end--this is the movie for you. Grab your popcorn and anti-depressants. The best horror leaves you uneasy but in someway, a better man. This movie does not succeed in doing the latter.
