Loved the movie for entertainment purposes only. You don’t pick a landing zone in a bowl, and with as many enemy as there were, I am pretty sure they would have had tube mortars to put on our stationary base camp in said bowl. But we’ll casted, realistic battle strategies, confrontations, and mental stress. Very poor location choice. Don’t believe Oaks, Maples, and open prairie make up much of Vietnam. Gibson, Elliot carry the load but many of the soldiers were well done!! I give it a 4 out of 5 as I said for casting, and entertainment purposes mainly, and appreciated them not focusing on the politics of war, which simply are used as fodder to elongate movies!
