I know the author’s noble intention was to call attention to the horrific crime of femicide by tracing her beloved sister’s murder 30 years ago. Unfortunately, the shear weight of details made it difficult for me to fully take in the devastation inflicted on the victim, her sister and society through this crime and the many others. I comprehend intellectually, but also wanted to respond emotionally as well. Sorry to be blunt, but better editing would have made this book excellent.
