I watched the first two episodes last night. I have to say, I was underwhelmed. I didn’t get the decision to create drama between Ahsoka and Sabine. Anyone who truly knows Ahsoka knows two things about her: that she’s a total boss, and that she’s an incredibly compassionate person. I feel like they nailed Ahsoka’s physical appearance, but in these two points, they failed. To me, Ahsoka’s fighting is, so far, subpar, and she seems cold and distant and is repeatedly referred to by Hera as “difficult”. This confuses me, as that is not the Ahsoka portrayed in the Clone Wars. I am intrigued by the fact that Morgan Elsbeth turned out to be what she is (spoilers, in case someone hasn’t watched it yet) and I think that will lead to an interesting story behind her. I just hope they pick up the show, because I feel like it’s dragging the ground right now by not only moving slowly, but it has an overall negative vibe, mainly brought on by the weird tension between Sabine and Ahsoka.
