I liked the movie. Jake and Rachel definitely had chemistry. I think Rachel was not really into her fiancé - you could tell how she talked with him and about him from the beginning. It’s better for her to find out about her feelings regarding Jake rather than marrying the fiancé who appeared to have very little in common with her. The movie doesn’t show every detail, but you assume that she broke up with the fiancé and went back to Jake whom she really did love. She didn’t mean it when she told Jake that she didn’t love him. She did it so he would leave. Most Xmas romances get together and fall in love quickly. Also, sometimes people do fall in love quickly in real life. I was disappointed that Rachel did not meet her mother. I think about 10 minutes more would have accomplished that and had a more satisfying ending to tie up loose ends. Perhaps there will be a Part 2 whereby the relationships develop more and truly a happy ending will occur.
