Great movie, great acting, great flying sequences (for those who fly). And the supporting cast is great too--very authentic to Mena, Arkansas.
....It's interesting that many reviewers are confusing the CIA's drugs-for-arms deal with Oliver North's "Iran-contra," which did NOT run drugs but sold scores of Hawk anti-aircraft missiles and TOW anti-tank missiles to the Iranians for cash, some of which was used to buy arms for the anti-communist rebels in Nicaragua.
Barry Seale was working for the CIA. Marine LtCol Ollie North did NOT work with the CIA, and wasn't involved in bringing drugs back to the U.S.
The CIA is fine with importing drugs to cause chaos and crime in U.S. cities. The military not so much.
....It's also interesting that the movie essentially ignores the role of Arkansas governor Bill Clinton in protecting the CIA-run operation flying drugs into Mena, Arkansas.
