A bit of a disappointment as films go. Amazing technical effects as you would imagine but a weak story line and mediocre performances.

This is a terrible production of what is one of Dickens’s greatest novels. The characterisation is wrong and the essence of the story is lost in a self gratifying interpretation that does not reflect the underlying themes of expectation, love and the cruelty of revenge.
