Whilst this show certainly has it's moments the title confuses me. "Everybody loves Raymond" but why? The character is an emotionally underdeveloped, rather half witted man child that you wouldn't trust to dry the dishes without adult supervision. The comedy is mainly derived from his generally inept, feeble minded handling of domestic situations which while reasonably well laced with laughs and are performed by a decent ensemble of comic actors the situations are also wildly over the top and implausible.

I'm going to go against the tide here and say that overall "Midnight Mass" is ultimately a disappointment. Yes, it's very well acted and shot but at 7 episodes it's 2 and possible even 3 episodes too long. It's a "slow burner", but that comes at something of a cost in terms of dramatic tension. Throw in an all too often verbose script and frankly you'll see why "Midnight Mass" isn't a patch on the groundbreaking "Haunting of Hill House" and "Haunting of Bly Manor" And don't get me started on the dead cats subplot which made little sense and didn't go anywhere.
