Played it through twice after the first time I fell short of 1 million things. If you're a Gen-Xer this game will be amazing for you! Like a platformer version of Ready Player One. Lots of tongue-in-cheek references to 80s and 90s pop culture, fun retro cut scenes, and a game that will at time shock you with it's heart.
Level design is glorious with a difficulty curve that feels challenging but not impossible (thanks to the Lazarus chip you have infinite lives). Later upgrades give the game a Batman: Arkham/Metriod feel where you are rewarded for going back to previous locations with your new abilities.
But in the end it's the story that brings me back. Just a lovely tale, at the end of which you have the satisfaction not only of having won the game, but also at bearing witness to a robotic life well lived. Can't wait to see what Paul does next!
