For those of you curious about the live-action Little Mermaid (No Spoilers) Here is my brief review. *This was hyped as a flop and I thought it was the second best live action remake, next to Aladdin *The casting was spot on, the songs were gorgeous and the characters had more depth and personality than the cartoon. *The movie is much longer and slower paced than the original so I don't think kids under 7 could sit through it *The movie is not a bright as I usually enjoy. If you're prepared for it I think it's easier to handle. A lot of the deep sea scenes were very dim. *My girls did not comment on Ariels skin colour. They only commented on how incredibly she sang. *Flounder will haunt for your dreams for the next 3-6 months *A solid 4 stars and I would definitely ignore the haters and enjoy it on the big screen.
