Overall the DLC was a fun ride, although it could have done with a couple more new machines. The visuals were absolutely beautiful and I found the final boss far more engaging to take down than the final boss of the main game.
So funny that all of these people are so bothered by the romance angle; Aloy has always been coded as ambiguous in terms of sexuality and her growth in terms of making connections with other people was a centrepiece plot point of the main game. It feels like a natural progression of her journey throughout the Forbidden West.
Branding it 'politics' is also a strange reason to rate something poorly, as much as it would be strange to rate a game poorly for portraying a short character or a character with blond hair. Some characters are tall, some characters have brown eyes, some characters are gay, it's really not a sinister plot out to get you guys, it's just a story 😂.
The villain was engaging but perhaps a little one dimensional, would have been nice to have been able to get a bit more dialogue in with him directly to discuss his plans. Also, the Zenith weapon you get access to is very underwhelming, probably best to just not include it at all since it feels weaker than a bow and arrow!
