Movies should really just be about portraying life, which is what this movie is exactly. I really loved the colors in the movie. They were so pleasantly warm and gave me a feeling of fall season.
There wasn't any unnecessary moulding of dialogues for the sake of the movie. They represented any conversation, or a scene or a life choice or a confusion as exactly as it would be in a real life. For me, I think of a movie as a lens,a gateway into the other life ,watching someone else living their life. It's also called slice of life genre and this movie is the closest to the genre and I have watched plenty of movies in my life. A LOT.
Anything that's being portrayed in the movie is so raw. This rawness of the movie actually fits perfectly in line with the characters' lives as well, which is- 'art'. Art is never perfect, It's raw and so is the movie and I feel like even the title of the movie is, It's just there- telling you 'bout the movie as naturally as it could in three words i.e Vicky Cristina Barcelona.
In short it's- A Slice of life about art, exploration, a will to explore all the time, a confusion about what you want from life and constantly struggling to pursue it and finding pleasures in between of the pursuit too. Just living it.
I am in absolute awe of this movie and I cannot get enough of it. I felt like I wanted to enter into the world that I was seeing through the screen so much.
