Bel air is its own story! It is not the fresh Prince of Bel Air! Yes the story is relatively the same, but one takes place in the 90s whereas the others takes place in current day. We have to factor in things that didn’t even exist in the 90s such as social media, advance technology, current political issues.. the list goes on. The show is the same story told from a different perspective, the current day perspective. People should give it a chance to stand on its own. Because honestly if this came out on its own with out having the history of the fresh price I think people would be eating this up! It’s just the fact that it’s not what we expected, which is something that should be applauded! Personally I am a fan! I do get semi euphoria vibes from certain characters, but I’m here for it!! Bel air is now my favorite thing to watch on Thursdays but I will say give it till episode 3 that’s when I fell in love with the show!
