The royal family has to sacrifice three of their daughters to the dragon because the king kills the dragons babies. This was to save the king from being killed by the dragon and save the kingdom from the dragon. However, in the cave there is more than three girls names carved on the walls and at the end when Elodie escapes and the prince is about to marry another, Elodie says is this the third and the prince says then I can marry whomever I want. So why did so many girls end up in the cave and die? Why was Elodie even in the mix when more than three girls had already died? I like fantasy and the whole find your strength to fight to escape but the story line can’t contradict itself. I have to give it 2 stars for this reason.

There could have been so many other issues to see played out in this show for Jackie. A New Yorker moving to the other side of the country to live on a ranch, after all that she has been through with her family dying and the focus is on a love triangle between 2 brothers! Don’t get me started with the Mom and Dad. Really you didn’t expect something would happen between your boys and a teen girl, not related, living under their roof. They are so oblivious to what is happening to all their kids. I felt like they didn’t engage with their kids. Maybe that is part of the show and that will come out if the show continues for another season.

Honestly, I watched the first five episodes and then went straight to the last episode to see what happens. The characters all started to get on my nerves. Now I am really pissed that Maddie is mad at her father who raised her and doesn’t care that her birth father was abusive to her mother.
