The reviews for this movie are very bad, and I don’t completely blame everyone. However, Pocahontas moves on to like John Rolfe because she was told the John smith was dead. The real story is that she was told John smith died, and she really did marry John Rolfe. So that’s the way they chose to go for the film. I was personally wanting her to be with John smith, but when you think about the fact she had already Grieved his loss, and fell in love with another man. The writers probably kept John smiths character alive so that way he could have a happy ending for himself and travel the world in his new ship. Yes, his character wasn’t the same as the first movie but he still cared for Pocahontas. In the end, john smith and Pocahontas get a happy ending, even if it’s not with one another. So it’s not really as completely awful and it might seem.
