I’m a huge history and myth fan. From the Roman Gods to Greek Mythology and Homers wisdom on Greek Stories and events, this game has nailed the Greek Mythology. Harpies and massive Minotaurs with plenty of Gorgons and corrupt wild animals are plentiful plus many more creatures. Acting can be a taaaad bit cheesy. (Not unbearable and not too often buuuut it has its moments)
The graphics are really good. Pleasant to the eye. Smooth. I’m a huge fan of Spyro the Dragon. Been playing it since PS1. I have the remastered version on Xbox and those graphics are very good. Well this game has the Spyro feel when it comes to graphics. The fighting mechanics and ui are excellent. The story is one of detail and excitement.
Now for the open world. It is outstanding. Massive, personal and confrontational for you slice and dice lovers out there and plenty of treasure and areas to reach for you explorers and lore lovers. Oh and resources are never scarce. So keeping up with health and stamina is no problem. The challenges you come across and puzzles can be hard at times. (I’ve said screw it a few times but when you beat them oh man is it satisfying. Those kind of puzzles. Haha)
Last but not least, the weapons, armor and abilities. The weapons and ranking system as well for the armor is pretty damn good. It’s easy to use, fair with the abilities that come when you rank them up. (Not too OP and not too weak. Just right) The abilities you gain are pretty fun and the fact that you can change how you look while wearing the same armor is pretty nifty. The abilities really make fighting just more and more fun.
Sorry for the long post but I have to just put this out for y’all who see a lot of nay saying. They are haters. This is for the players no matter what age, you are still a kid at heart. The torch bearers for my OGs who grew up with the Atari 2600 and NES. This is for those who love a good story and loves using imagination. This game is Assassins Creed meets God of War meets Batman Arkham Series.
