Duo Fortin-Poirier's "Nuit Blanche" concert/album is a gem. The pianists' remarkable skill and undeniable chemistry transformed the intimate setting into a mesmerizing experience. Their explanation of the concert's title and what each piece was/meant added a personal touch, enhancing the audience's connection. Watching them perform was akin to witnessing a ballet of fingers, brimming with passion and expertise. Each piece resonated with emotion, accompanied by the captivating sight of their hands dancing across the keys thanks to a live camera in the first half of the show. Then on the second half, they surprise you with more and new sounds - just incredible! I am disappointed that Coquitlam didn’t show those two exceptional artists more love and that not more people got to feel what I felt tonight - and I can only hope that the residents of our area will instead buy their album. Their artistry radiated warmth, joy, and sheer musical brilliance, and I'd like to thank them both for stopping in the Tri-Cities. I loved my night and I wish them both an amazing tour!
