Midnight Club 2 is an arcadie racer from the ps2 era, it's fun and challenging, has cutscenes and characters that make you feel like you're the main character (they speak directly to you). Majority of the characters are memorable, some for being cool and other for being annoying. The soundtrack on some of the races is phenomenal! For example, Parfait's theme (if you look it up, it's amazing!) The general atmosphere is immersive and this game is one of those games that's hard to put down once you get an hour into it. If you get a chance to pick it up and play it, definitely do, it's worth every minute! Personal note: I used to play this for hours back when I was little. I remember being new to this style of racer and not doing so well, but over time and with many retries I got through each race with a sense of accomplishment. I recently started replaying the game and it has been a blast! Plus I'm much better at it as an adult (though I was rusty for the first few races)

I love this game so much, no racing game has or probably (hope I'm wrong) ever come close. The freedom to pick your route is phenomenal, the controls and feel of the game is unmatched in racing. It's obviously an arcade style racer and not super realistic, but for those who don't care much for racing sims, this game is fantastic. If you decide to try it out, learn how to use the handbrake around turns, in certain cars like the Emu or Bryanston V, you end up losing no speed around turns and even sometimes gaining it. The game is very challenging and requires loads of effort, if you're looking for something casual, look elsewhere. Once again, I am in love with this game and have completed it over 20 times, I've genuinely lost count (for a while I was taking screenshots).
